Since I've seen a few too many in my time... *Coughs* Why not try running your character through the Mary Sue test?
*Mary Sues/Gary Stews are essentially characters that are far too good/powerful/perfect than their setting would allow for.
I'm not asking for you to post results here, just thought it would be a small diversion for if you're bored.
